How do you make your wedding stand out from all the rest? With Colour and Theme! They are vital parts of your wedding. Do you have your heart set on a particular colour? That may influence everything from your reception location to your invitations.
To impress your guests, have everything co-ordinated. That doesn’t mean if you use purple that everything has to be purple, just be included in most items. Your invitation can have purple print, a picture with purple in it or a purple ribbon. Your bouquets will have some purple flowers, and your bridesmaids will have some purple in their outfit. Your centerpieces will have some purple, and if you go for decorations, they will have some purple too.
It’s easier than you think to do a theme. Just like colour, it doesn’t have to be everywhere, just show up in obvious places, like invitations and decorations. For instance, a heart theme could work this way:
- Invitation - have a heart picture
- Bridesmaid jewellery - hearts
- Guest favours - heart shaped chocolates
- Guest tables - name your tables with songs with the word “Heart” in them (ask me about other table name lists we have!)
